Hempfield Township builds community through people, parks, recreation, and conservation. The township manages 132 acres of park land, featuring the 93 acre Hempfield Park. Located in Hempfield Park is the Hempfield Township Athletic Complex (HTAC), the premier indoor athletic facility in Westmoreland County. We serve all ages, abilities, and interests through innovative classes and services. Explore our parks, play at the Athletic Complex, and connect with neighbors and friends.

Hempfield Township Parks and Recreation offers several facilities for various purposes. Two parks, walking trails, playgrounds are provided for public enjoyment. An indoor athletic complex, pavilions, and outdoor sports fields and courts are available for use and may be rented.

Hempfield Township Parks and Recreation offers a wide variety discounted tickets to local amusement parks and attractions, such as Kennywood, Sandcastle, Hersey Park, Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium, and Idlewild in the summer and Seven Springs in the winter.
